SnapQR reads QR codes and barcodes using your camera and helps you create new ones. It is built to keep your data on your device — we collect as little as possible.

The camera is used only while the scanner is open, to detect QR codes in real time. Frames are processed on your phone and are never recorded, stored, or uploaded.

When you scan a Wi-Fi QR code, SnapQR can join that network for you. Android requires location permission to read nearby Wi-Fi networks — we use this only to connect you to the scanned network and never collect, store, or share your location.

You can save a generated QR code as an image or scan a code from a photo. SnapQR only accesses the specific image you pick or the one it saves — it does not browse or read the rest of your gallery.

Scans and codes you create are saved locally in this app so you can find them later. This history lives on your device and you can clear it anytime from Settings.

Nothing that identifies you. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage counts (such as how often the app opens) to improve performance. No scan contents, Wi-Fi credentials, or photos are ever included.

When you choose to open a scanned link, your device hands it to your browser or the relevant app. SnapQR does not track where you go after that.

We do not sell or share your data. We have no advertising trackers. The only network requests SnapQR makes are anonymous diagnostics, which you can disable.

You control camera, location, photo, and history access in Settings. Removing the app deletes all locally stored history permanently.
